Clinical FAQ’s

What is involved in a physiotherapy assessment?

During your initial physiotherapy appointment you will first be asked to complete our online consent form and pre-assessment form. Your physiotherapist will then carry out a subjective assessment, followed by a physical examination. After the assessment, your physiotherapist will explain your diagnosis in full and outline a recommended treatment plan. Depending on the complexity of your condition, there may also be time for a short treatment session of approximately 10-15 minutes.

What should I wear?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing that allows access to the area being assessed (e.g. vest or shorts). If needed, your therapist may ask you to adjust clothing to ensure an accurate assessment.

How long will it take for my symptoms to recover?

Recovery timelines vary depending on the condition and how long symptoms have been present. Many people notice improvement after the first session, while others may need several sessions for more complex issues.

Wellness FAQ’s

The recommended frequency of massage will vary depending on individual needs, clinical factors and personal preference. For active treatment we typically recommend weekly sessions. For general maintenance and wellbeing, a massage every 3-4 weeks is usually sufficient.

We recommend wearing loose comfortable clothing. We will provide a sheet or towel and can work around clothing where needed.
