How acupuncture fits your care

Clear, evidence‑aware care delivered safely by qualified clinicians.

How it works

Fine needles stimulate sensory nerves, likely triggering endorphin release and natural healing responses.

Evidence

Evidence is mixed, but when used alongside other techniques, many patients experience long‑lasting benefits.

Safety first

We use sterile, pre‑packed, disposable needles and follow comprehensive clinical safety procedures.

Professional standards

There are no safety regulations for acupuncture in the UK however it is recommended that acupuncture is carried out by a trained professional such as a physiotherapist, doctor, or nurse. If in doubt The British Acupuncture Council register practitioners who have been approved by the professional standards authority.

There are a few cases in which Acupuncture should not be used. Your physiotherapist will check this and any safety questions with you along with a consent form prior to commencing treatment.
